Veterans Day is a day to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. It is observed on November 11th every year and commemorates the armistice that ended World War I. This day was originally called Armistice Day after the end of WWI, but as time went on many people forgot about it entirely. In 1954, President Eisenhower signed legislation declaring November 11th as Veterans Day to ensure these brave man and women were never forgotten again!
